Isla Morada is another of our 3 boats, which can carry 105 passengers,
and complies with the most stringent PCC safety requirements;
both in their operating systems as in their passenger safety equipment,
such as rescue devices, communication equipment, auxiliary boats
and rafts, life vests and more. Isla Morada has 6 auxiliary boats
with a total capacity for 132 persons, and has a crew of 4 certified
mariners and captain. The Isla Morada was built in Neponset, Mass.
USA., by Cox & Stevens in 1912. The hull is wood and its
dimensions are: 62 feet long (96 Mts.), 16.4 feet wide (5 Mts.),
with a gross tonnage of 94 tons and a net of 79 tons; propelled
by two 225 HP marine Detroit Diesel six cylinder engines, capable
of propelling the boat at speeds of 10 Knots.

Another of our great boats is the steel built Fantasía
del Mar, capable of carrying 500 passengers, and built in Booths
Bay Maine, USA, by the Eastern Shipbuilding Corp., in 1977 and
later refitted on October of 2003.
The Fantasía del Mar is 115 feet long (35.66 Mts.), has
a beam of 28.5 feet (8.69 Mts.), and a draft of 10.59 feet (3.23
Mts.), with a Gross tonnage of 465 tons, and a net of 394.41 tons.
Our
boats hold record Canal transits, and are pioneers in the Canal
water shed tourism industry.
