Experience the Panama Canal Voyage
One of The World must-see destinations
Panama Canal, Wonder of the World

The Panama Canal is 80 kilometers long from the Atlantic Ocean entrance to the Pacific. It runs a route runs from northwest to southeast, dividing the continent into two.

An average ship requires eight to ten hours to complete the transit through the Panama Canal. The road works were completed by the United States in 1914. It is considered a marvel of modern engineering.

The canal has three sets of locks. Each one of its chambers measured 33.53 meters wide and 304.80 feet long.

The three locks were built in pairs, so that two ships can move simultaneously in the same direction or in opposite directions.
